GUIRA UNA
Two walk to one
Guira Una is a connection of roots, affections and experiences tempered with Afro-Brazilian rhythmic influences.
It is an integration of drums, strings and samples from a female perspective in a technological and contemporary language.

Guira Una is in Tupi black bird.
Bird of melodious singing in which the female also sings.
​
The black bird is also an allusion to Sankofa, an ideogram from West Africa that, according to Abdias do Nascimento, means "returning to the past to reframe the present and build the future".
Our art, steeped in the past, strengthens our present so that we can have a free future as a society.
